Shawn and his friend Adam gave us more insight on the state of cannabis laws here on the Central Coast. There are still some grey areas with cannabis laws in California, especially since the county is not offering licenses to growers in the area and instead gave them a grace period in 2018 to continue operations.
Expect prices for cannabis to rise quickly with the new laws, because now the industry is heavily regulated and growers have to pay much higher taxes. Things are getting moving in terms of local municipalities issuing out licenses to local businesses, but there is still a lot for cannabis companies in the area to keep fighting towards.
